Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Theta Xi LambdaChapter One scholarship worth at least $600 will be awarded to a male senior attending a high school in South Bend, Elkhart or Niles. To be eligible to apply, a student must be of African-American, Hispanic or American Indian heritage. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Eta Mu Omega Chapter During the cotillion year six scholarships are awarded and during the off-year, two $500.00 scholarship to two female African American high school seniors who plan to attend a 4-year college. American Cancer Society North Central Indiana Area Service Center Scholarships are available annually, based on financial need. Academic performance, community service, and leadership qualities are also taken into account. All applications will be reviewed by a volunteer review committee. To qualify, applicants must be: A cancer survivor age 20 and under. A U.S. citizen and legal resident of Indiana and Michigan. Fred A. Bryan Collegiate Students Fund Through Norwest Bank Indiana, N.A. Scholarships granted to male residents of South Bend, Indiana graduating from high schools in the City of South Bend. Grants based upon scholastic attainment, moral character and financial need. Preference given to applicants who have Boy Scout service with record of good standing. Hazel Dell Neff Smelser Scholarship Fund Through First Source Bank Scholarships to students who are majoring in music and who graduate from public and parochial schools in Marshall or St. Joseph counties in Indiana. Summer Music Study Scholarships available to all incoming high school freshman and high school students who attend a public or parochial school in St. Joseph and Marshall counties. Indiana Black Expo, South Bend Chapter In an attempt to facilitate post secondary enrollment, the South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo (SBCIBE) is awarding financial assistance. Qualifying students must meet minimum requirements listed below to be eligible for assistance. Graduating seniors and/or students currently enrolled in an accredited post secondary college or vocational college. Graduate students are eligible to apply. * St. Joseph County Resident * Minimum 2.0 grade point average * Awards based on point system based on applicant’s need * SBCIBE membership status * clarity of personal need statement based on content grammar, sentence structure and punctuation. IBE Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students who will attend post secondary and graduate institutions. The IBE Scholarship Program is designed to recognize students who are Indiana residents and have attained outstanding scholastic achievement. A scholarship for $500/year for a maximum of 4 years (total of $2,000) as long as the minimum college GPA of 3.0 is met is available to a female applicant who is involved in volunteer work and exemplifies the mission of Junior League. Kappa Kappa Kappa, Beta Gamma Chapter Scholarship to a current or prospective student at a local college or trade school (i.e., IUSB, Bethel College, Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, Holy Cross and Ivy Tech.)
