"Market Your Skills"
DECA is an association of Marketing Education Students. Only those students enrolled in Marketing or Marketing Co-op are eligible to become members of DECA.
The many activities of DECA parallel the competency development of the instructional programs and are direcly related to one's occupational goals. As an integral part of the instructional programs, DECA activities at district, state, and national levels provide students opportunities to demonstratethe proficiency they have acqired in marketing education instructon and also to be recognized for their competency in state-level DECA actvities are highly encouraged to represent their local community, district, and state by participating in national DECA events.
March 2011, Jordyn Willis, Cassie Vera, Robert Stratton, Sabrina Meadows, and Kamani Steinmetz competed in the DECA State Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. In April 2011, sophomore Cassandra Vera qualified for nationals and traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete as a representative for Riley High School, District I.
DECA students are also encouraged to become good citizens by engaging in community activities.
