Winter Homecoming 2009
At Riley, the winter homecoming court only honors boys running for the King position, while the girls have their chance in the fall to be Queen. To be on the winter homecoming court you must be a senior boy with all your credits, involved in at least 3 school activities, never had any school suspensions, a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have no outstanding fines, and be evaluated by 3 different teachers of the student's choice. This year only 8 boys out of everyone that signed up were elgible to run. These 8 boys made up the court. The seniors then voted for one boy to be their king. The court was honored in the pep assembly during school, each escorted by the female teacher of their choice. During the basketball game that evening, during halftime the court was presented, each escorted by a Riley female current student or recent graduate of their choice. After everyone was announced, the king was revealed.
The reigning Homecoming King is Anthony Mast!
Congratulations!

Fall Homecoming 2009-2010
At Riley, the fall homecoming court only honors girls running for the Queen position, while the boys who want to run for homecoming King must wait until the winter homecoming to receive their recognition. In order to run for court you must be a senior girl with all your credits, involved in at least 3 school activities, never had any school suspensions, a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have no outstanding fines, and be evaluated by 3 different teachers of the student's choice. The girls who are approved after being checked for this criteria are then put on a ballot. The seniors then vote in their homerooms for 8 girls and the the top 8 with the highest number of votes make court. The Queen is the girl with the most votes from the first day of voting, but while the court is revealed the day following voting, the Queen is not revealed until the night of homecoming at the football game. The 8 girls are honored at the Pep Assembly during school where they are escorted by a male teacher of their choice. In the evening, the court participates in the homecoming parade prior to the game, riding in the convertible car of their choice with a male escort that is either a current Riley student or recent graduate. The Queen is then announced at halftime of the football game.
